Motronic convertors, where did you put your DME / Injection control?

Sorry for spamming with questions but I do appreciate/need some input on things. I am not the best of mechanics and don't quite trust my own judgment with all things.
And I am sure you have better solutions than me :)

I am trying to figure out where to place mine.
It has been in the little bay next to the coupe fan with the air intake taped over to protect it but that is hardly an optimal place.

Would be nice where the water container for the wipers are but then where to put that?
SO, glove box? Extend cables to put it below back seat? Below glove box?

Pictures would be greatly appreciated, my brain prefers pictures to words :)

I have looked at the pics I could find of converted E9s but never seen where that box is.

Thanks,

Johan

ummm- they go in the glove box...
Don't get fancy- there is a glove box rod that will support the dme/ecu.

Glove box. It is important to note that the harness source car will determine the length of the harness from the first branch to the harness DME plug. A longer length is nice, and makes integration easier. As I recall, the E24 88/89 635 and E32 735 have a longer harness. The rest have a shorter harness.

My harness is not too long (E34). Glove box would work. For anything further back in the car I would need to extend it which is most likely not the best of ideas.

Thanks for the input,

johan
