i wonder what you guys have in MPG with triple webers ?
Mine needs 25l/100km
Oeps, i must calculate that in MPG....

I fill the tank up ,
Drive the car like I stole it .. on the motorway only , in a safe manner

And fill her back up the following weekend and repeat the above

I do not look at MPG... if I did ..
I would buy a Tesla!!!

i know Sandhu it doesn't matter , but i'm curious how good someone can do with jets... on the other hand my A/F gauge says i'm in the good range... so is there any better solution ??

With only 70 l tank we must pay attention in rallys....

I don't have any relevant data to provide yet, Barry - sorry. I've got the car running (more like spitting) with triples, but "driving" has been limited to up and down the driveway, around the block, etc. Not a relevant test yet. I bet @Stevehose would have some input, though... And I have to admit I fall into the same camp as @sandhu. With this car I've decided not to track mileage like I do in the M3, which I drive thousands of miles each year "for work".

just to have some comparisons Stephen, nothing more. Fun to know.
I found a conversion calculator.... i'm at 9.4 MPG.

I'm running just on 20l/100klm in my CSL but has FI not Webers, in case you're interested.
Sounds like your consumption on the triple Webers is not bad. And I am sure your car's performance would be more than mine.
(Btw my new Porsche does 8l/100klm and goes about 4 times as quick, lol)

thanks Mal CSL ! yes, amazing how modern engines perform.... on so much less fuel.
Indeed , with 20L/100km for FI , 25 with webers isn't that bad.

I have typically averaged about 12 mpg but have noticed better mileage after I installed a 123 distributer. I just installed larger chokes and jets this weekend so it might drop back between 10 and 12.

Let's say I put 1200 miles a year on my car. If I only get twelve miles to the gallon at $3 a gallon for premium my total gas bill is $300 per year. If I could get a 50% increase in gas mileage, I would cut my gas bill by $100. I can't get too excited about this.

Of course, I do have to put up with the fact that when driving in a group of e9s I am usually the first guy to raise my hand and say I need to stop for gas.

@Ohmess .........again it's not about the difference..... just to know what MPG on webers. Indeed, fuel will be the lesser cost for most of the members compaired to restoration/maintenance .... in general old cars are not fuel friendly.
More, you are lucky , we pay sure x 3 for a gallon !
