I spoke with the folks at the resto shop today. They are suggesting having a chrome muffler system for my e9, which is fine with me. However, the thought is to also do away with the front muffler and the center resonator, and have only a rear muffler. Any thoughts on what this will do to performance and sound? Recommended or not?

Hi Randy,

I have only the rear muffler on my car, sounds great, lovely raspy sound, a bit louder but not so much so that I've wanted to change back.
I also increased pipe size to 2 1/2 inch through the middle section of the exhust system, this then tappers down into the standard rear muffler(will change this when it's knackered)
As for performance, don't rearly think it made much difference might of added a horsepower or two? But the sound is very nice, go for it!!
