The painter seems serious in his work. The blue color is too electric and too shiny for my taste. I prefer single stage to clearcoat for E9s.
Missing? I do not see the holes for mounting the side mirrors and the trunk lid badges. Make sure the black sticker behind the false side grill is installed, and I guess it will get other rims at the mechanic.

Beautiful!

I woulda filled up the rear side marker hole, but otherwise, lovely hue.

Engine compartment painted same color (I hope)?

Trunk hole is peculiar.

it didn't had a hole and I am planning to use a double sided tape, and yes the engine compartment is same color as well

I really like this blue color it is newer model BMW paint number 381 for mounting the side mirror I will double check to see original location of side mirror then I will drill it my self if you know the original location please let me know and I will put the black sticker under the side grill and I will install the new rims one of this two please check the pix and let me know what you think

Be sure to put some silicone on your trunk roundel to avoid leakage when installing it. Maybe a plastic plug siliconed on there may help.

- I prefer the rims on the blue car shown.

- Side mirror now you have a choice between Euro and US placement! Euro is further up the door with the idea that you do not have to turn your head that much and that you see more. US you turn more, you see less, but you see them bigger. US location is closer to the separation between the glass and the vent glass. I am sure you will find good pictures for both. I was asking because I hate drilling post paint and then leave metal exposed...

I do have set of rim the one is under blue car I was planning to black chrome and blue in center what do you think or maybe paint it original way just trying to be little deferent than others I like to have idea from other E9 lover to me it is important and that burgundy color E9 is mine I spend money on the rims but I tell you I don't like it at all I have to change the rims but I love the lights it is from newer BMW but many complain about it but I love the idea of having day light on all the time what about you what do you think it look like you have a detail test on this cars.

I like the black rims. Those 16s?

Not a fan of 14" Alpina-type wheels.

So you have both a blue and malaga E9? Or has the malaga E9 been just now painted blue?
