Newly restored coupe pics are finally here for viewing. The sticker shot is the original sticker from Italian dealership where the car was originally sold (at least that is my understanding by previous owner).

Bellissimo.....Congrats Randy.....your silver coupe looks............G R E A T :D

Awwwesomely fresh.

Tell us a little about your restoration experience.....

Very very nice.

Suppose you have to be careful about people posing near the driver door and putting their fingerprints on the roof!

Noticed what appears to be the original style fan. Does this mean you are still using the original mechanical fan clutch? Aviso, when they are new they work fine, but with age, they have a tendency to get lazy. Watch that temperature gauge!

I'd suggest you go with the newer viscous type fan clutches with the 9 bladed fan. One caveat with the new fans though, only black versions are available as the red fans are not manufactured anymore. Also, you may consider installing a fan shroud to better direct the air flow. No modifications are needed with these upgrades. Adding a bottle of the REDLINE water wetter may also contributes toward better cooling. Supposedly, by about 10 degrees cooler according to manufacture's claims. This company makes good stuffs. If you are not using their MTL transmission fluid, do so with your next transmission oil change, makes your gear changes a lot slicker.

temp gage level

Your temp gage SHOULD be in the middle of the range or just below.

Sure way to check is with an infra-red "gun" and let's see what the temp really is. This way you can calibrate your gage, which is perhaps something we all should do. Note that due to different resistance, all our gages will be a little different. How much? Let's find out.

IIRC internal combustion engines run best around 180 - 190 degrees, and the thermostat should keep them in the optimum range. Someone on this list should be able to provide further information.

But just because you can run at that temp, with the thermostat doing its job, doesn't tell you how much reserve cooling capacity you have. Reserve will be crucial in traffic, hot days, idling with the A/C on. You will find out.

Randy,

The car looks great! However, we've got to do something about this:

I'll be sending this along as a remedy:

David,
Its a custom (by a muffler shop close to the resto shop) stainless steel exhaust with the exception of the stock rear muffler. They initially had a magnaflow rear muffler on it, but wow was it too loud for my taste. There is a magnaflow front muffler like resonator and another smaller resonator just before the rear stock muffler.
