View attachment 25968 Hopefully someone can help identify purpose of this brown/blue wire which appears to be "paired" with the brown/earth and located near battery. Could not find on the wiring diagram I have ( USA version ) . Car is '74 csi RHD . Thanks, Simon

yes, that's what I thought too ...but apparently not.

UPDATE: It seems that the coloured USA wiring diagram I have does show a blue/brown wire, however, it doesn't appear in the Legend for some reason . I then checked the Repair Manual wiring diagram ( electronic version which could be enlarged to show clearer detail ) and from my understanding , this wire has something to do with a Transmission Switch/plug/indicator specifically for automatics ...given mine is a manual, this wire is therefore redundant .Perhaps someone more knowledgeable could confirm.
