Nardi wheel resto.

wood Nardi resto

been thinking about that for a while myself.

Any cabinet shop would be fair game for a phone call.

I will do it myself though, when the time comes. Only question is what kind of varnish or coating to use. My brother works on high-end yachts, I'll ask him what the rich guys are getting nowadays.

That's a thought, though - the boat guys do a lot of refinishing for wood in very harsh circumstances. A call or two in that direction would be useful.

Nardi resto

I'm sort of with you, in wanting to do myself, but hoping to find a "been there done that" brain to pick. I also have a friend in the "big boat" business, but all they do in new stuff. I'm going to try to call him next week and see. Problems, of course, are: they dont strip old stuff, and my black anodized (not polished metal version) center is fine, so stripping just the wood is a little scary. I think that they do both polyester and polyeurethane; so we'll see. Will post epiphany if it occurs...
