Where could I get a hazard flasher relay in USA or Canada for a 1969 2800 CSA (Euro).

Does anybody on the forum have a good source.

And how can I check that it is failed (pretty $$ for new one)

Im working on getting wiring back in order. Finally got motor turning over (but not running yet).

Got some lights working but not all yet.

I disassembld and cleaned mine recently. There are 2 relays inside, one operates the blinkers and the other the dash light. Take it apart and clean the contact points with very fine sandpaper/electrical spray and check the spring tensions.

Is it working at all in some capacity or totally dead? These are pricey.

Here's some help:

When I activate the 4 way flashers it makes some noises (nothing on left side flashes but right flasher lights work but dont blink).

If you gently tap the relay the sound speeds up. Not sure what is happening.

Do you want me to open it up (or just clean the connections on the outside)?

Thanks

From those symptoms, I would start at the four corners of the car, rather than under the dash. Are you sure that the left side bulbs aren't simply burned out, or the left side sockets corroded, not grounded, ...? Do you get any voltage when you measure the left side with a voltmeter? There is nothing in the flasher that would treat the R and L sides differently. If the bulbs don't draw enough current, the flasher won't cycle.

Thanks for your assistance. Got flashers and indicators working. Traced wiring and found no power to flasher switch for indicators. Also found one bulb not working.

Thanks everybody.
