Need help identifying small part

I pulled this out of a Pic-N-Pull 1972 Bavaria a little while back. I believe it was holds the hazard light and fog lamp switch cover on, but not 100% sure. I don't think I had seen it on mine and that is why I grabbed it. Does anyone know exactly where this goes?

Hey thanks Mike, I had a feeling it was somewhere in the vicinity. I was looking on real OEM at 51/75 and thought it held on the cover right of the trim panel cover. Cover 51451816806 but none of those fittings looked like this. Thanks....
