Hey all, I assumed this resistor looking jobby was for the heater blower but on fitting my heater box realised it already has a potentiometer on the fan speed. It's marked vdo and mounts next to the fuse box just behind the glovebox, any ideas as to what it is for? Mine is a 74 spec rhd csa

Not sure if this helps, but I have one in my stash of parts. I believe it is a resistor of some sort.

I think Don could identify 98% of Coupe parts blindfolded - he's seen his share of these things. LOL

Funny as I do not recognize the part, eventough I just fully dismantled my whole car. It is also an automatic, but Lhd and from May 1973.

I guess my indicator lights simple don't dim then? Or was the resistor chopped out by a PO perhaps?

Hoping to learn something....
