Need help value on Euro 1967 2000CS

I am new here and looking at picking up a 1967 2000CS. I have a 72 Bavaria--so I know older BMWs. I stumbled across this 1967 and it looks tempting. It was restored about 15 years ago with fresh paint (it was stripped to bare metal), rebuilt suspension, and lots of other misc stuff. It is a lifetime west coast car and it is pretty much rust free. It has about 100,000 kilometers on it. It is not a show car, but is a pretty nice driver. How much is a fair price to pay. I can't find much of anything to compare it to? Does $7,000 sound decent enough?

If the car needs nothing and is fun to drive I think 7k is a fair price. I do not think there is enough of a market of 2000CS to speak of a market price. For reference I tried to get a couple of Lancia Fulvias also 1967, also well cared for but no concourse. I think they went for around 11k and 8k respectively. I was outbid on one, and beaten to the punch on the other. So whatever you do don't share pictures or seller info :).

or wise arde, always hit the nail head at the first attempt !

it is very difficult to help you with a valorisation of such a car without photos, and extense details about handling and engine performance, and so on

but on the other hand it will be safer for you to maintain the secret, ha, ha, ha

if the car aesthetics are ok (exterior and interior), if the engine works well and does not burn oil nor water, if the suspension does not squeak, if the brakes are ok, if all the mechanisms work,..., the price is great

but consider too that spare parts for a 2000CS are more difficult to find than those for a 3.0CS, CSI,...

regards

If this is the car I'm assuming you're looking at (matches the description, and how many possibly could?) I've arranged to pick it up Sunday. :-D

Well it is still Saturday where I live, so there is time for a good old bidding war.
