Hey guys, I ordered one from Autohausaz Sunday but they slacked off and didn't ship until yesterday so i won't get it until Monday. Does anyone have one they might be willing to ship to me in a small USPS box today so I get it Saturday at the latest. I need to get this engine rebuild going this weekend... Of course I'd pay for the shipping and send you my new chain when I get it.

Thanks in advance!

An alternate solution

when you're in a jam is to use a readily available cam chain by reducing the links to 46 from 94. They both use the same size links- 3/8" x 7/32".

Since Mercedes staked the master links, I just just did the same.

Tip- the chain slack is taken up by a shim on the early M30s.

In addition to P61's suggestion, the local red-front "chain" stores often can get the same part from a centralized warehouse. Pt. No. 11417577656 ? I obtained one via a second party that way. It even came with a Master Link which enabled installation without removing the front cover.

Another alternative is the dealer.

Thanks for the suggestions guys.

Jerry - How do you use the cam chain since that one is a double chain and the pump is a single chain?

AZone and O'reilly's (local FLAPS) don't have oil pump chains in stock locally. Heck, BMW only has 3 in stock in the US.

Local bearing supply will be able to sell you an appropriate chain in any length with a master link. i did an Etype motor like this years ago and never had a problem. price will be great too.
