The orange parts book failed us. I flipped through every page while waiting for cheap pizza. It’s possible that it is in band 1 but that doesn’t make much sense... Will report back if I find it.

It is the aluminum trim on the leading edge of the rear “door panel”. Rivited to the body,
visible from the door jamb.
Exactly! I would like to find all 4. Spending so much on a rehab, using the ones I have make no sense and I dont think anybody, regardless of skill, can save them.

So BMW part numbers are:
51727770027
51727770028

I tried to find them on W&N earlier today, and I was sure they didn't exsist on any diagram, thanks Ulrich!

If that is them it is a terrible drawing.

So the two on the W & N site found by Ulrich (above) are the fronts, the pair Bob has the picture of (abover) are the rears...

Yes they look like the front ones, I just assumed they are cheap reproduction pieces for the rear that doesn't look like the oem ones.
I might very well be wrong.

I assumed the same. However, I think that the half circle cutouts are to clear the holes for the “door panel” clips.
