First of all I do know how prone to rust these are. Car is a 74 auto does drive. I have checked fenders(magnet) shock towers(hammer) inspected frame. Appears good to fairly good. heres the deal. Guy wants $3500 which seems a tad low. Of course car needs a full restoration....Am I missing something????? And while we're on the subject can the euro style bumpers be retrofitted????

These two topics have been discussed many times before.
If you go to the Tech Info section of the website you will find rust area information.
If you use the search function, you will many discussions of both topics.

Could be quite a bit. What, in your opinion, is a "full restoration". Heck, TJ spent over 35,000 bucks on a car that was in decent shape to begin with... and had major challenges along the way. Now if you want to do a full resto are you playing in this field or just looking for a repaint and some upholstery work?

Anyway, the most troublesome area seems to be the rocker panels (behind the removeable panels) and the junction of the A pillar with the rockers. These areas are largely not inspectable without disassembly.
