Need to install my wood

I received the wood for my E9 a while back but haven’t been able to find anyone willing to take on pulling the dash and installing the wood. I live in Louisville, KY. Does anyone know someone in this part of the world that does that kind of work?

Markos deconstruction thread was VERY helpful to me for dash removal (and thus reconstruction). Maybe you are not a DIY person but these cars seem to force you to become a DIY. I bought a beautiful 88 M6 from a guy for 12k about 4 years back. He sold it casue he did not embrace the DIY mindset and based on receipts, spent a dollar a mile on he car. He just wanted to dump it. He said he wanted an E9 to replace it..............frying pan to fire.

I don't even know what kind of a shop would take on dash disassembly - re-assembly.

Although it involves a little upholstery work if you re-cover the top and tray surface, it's really not a job for an upholstery shop, Most upholsterers are familiar with glue and sewing machines; not assembling hard-to-access fasteners.

Maybe a "restoration" shop - a shop that does a little of everything and knows where to subcontract what it can't do in-house.

I agree with bavbob: just doing it yourself may be simpler than finding a shop who can do it competently. On the other hand, if you are not a DIY person, e9 dash disassembly & re-assembly may not be the best place to do your apprenticeship.

Don't wait too long to install your wood, it gets more difficult as you age...
