When you're replacing all of the a/c hoses using aluminum fittings, do you still need to use copper sealing washers?

Several members, including myself, went through this at roughly the same time a couple years back. I photodocumented most of it (http://vranedom.com/ac/ac.html), as did Stevenhose. I think he posted a thread in the projects section. I tried to replace all flare fittings with O-ring fittings where possible. Where not possible (orifice & evaporator), all of the new aluminum flare fittings mating up to old brass got new copper washers with generous application of Nylog.

Thanks for the recommendations in particularly about Nylog, I have a bottle of Nylog on order. The system is down now so I'm going to completely dismantle the system, replace all of the washers and use Nylog.
