new alternator

hi,i am putting in a motor from an e32 and will use the newer ,more powerfull alternator. the newer one has an internal voltage regulator, and diferent connections. can anyone advise on what mods have to be made to the wirring harness.

Jump the connector that links up with the external voltage regulator. All you have to do is make a short jumper wire that fits into the two colinear pins. Takes about 10 seconds. On a side note, you will need to ground the alternator housing, and connect the single spade connector out of the new alt into the correct spot on the alternator plug.
