I rode KTM motorcycles for years and found them to be among the most well-engineered racing platforms available for non-factory-sponsored racers. Parts were not as readily avaiable and cheap as the Jap-bikes, but always loved KTMs.
For you racing enthusiasts who prefer four wheels only, KTM has come out with a pretty sweet platform for track-day. http://www.rsportscars.com/ktm/2009-ktm-xbow-street/
I'm not aware of any racing classes for this rig, but with 240+ HP and 1,540lbs (race version), that may be as close as most of us get to P-Car 908-like performance on a track. Street version for 2009 weighs a little more (1,7++ lbs) but I'm sure is equally as ridiculous to drive.
Maybe Oranger has seen these rigs bombing around his area?
