Hey all,

we are living in France/Brittany in a little village at the Atlantic coast, in the department of Finistère (50 km southern of Brest) and own the 2230754.

Our 3.0 CS is from March 1972 and has been bought at a vintage car exhibition in Vienna (Austria) in 1995. The car was driven 3 times by us and then parked in a very dry garage in Vienna for 15 years. In August we decided to wake it up and as after such a long time the car did not start anymore, we brought it to a special garage in Germany for a complete restoration of the whole mechanic ,which took 3 months.

The body was perfect and needs only some replacements of the seals around doors and windows.

Now the car is here in France/Brittany in our barn, together with a

1998 BMW Z3
2002 Morgan +8 - Le Mans62
2006 Mercedes R 320 CDI
2001 BMW R 1100 R motobike

Underneath you can admire the album of the awakening :

sehr schön

After a good car washing and rebuilt engine the car looks great. I hope you get to drive it more now. These cars need to be driven.

Thanks for sharing.

Wow, sleeping beauty is awake, judging by the wood steering wheel, the wood shifter, persian rugs, and fake Bertone signage the car may have been bought at the Kitsch car exhibition of Vienna.

Looks nice after the refresh and glad to see the wood stuff is gone. Time for the persian rugs to find a better use.

Don't forget....

How are you enjoying driving the new Coupe? Nice awakening.

Never seen those Bertone signs, where can I buy them?
Or is it a very special Austrian speciality?
Bertone designed the 2000 CS eeehh (I mean 3200CS )
Thank BMW for that...

You know what I think is kitch? Chrome wheel trims...Eh?

Giorgetto Giugiaro designed the 3200 CS when he was an employee of Bertone...
