recently removed my cylinder head to correctly install the camshaft oil plate thing on the back of it, installed a new gasket and carefully re-installed all components. the car runs just as well as it did before (a little better from cleaning the carbon deposits off of the pistons) but now for whatever reason i have no tachometer and no temperature guage (so i have not driven it much).
is there a large plug or ground wire that i could have dislodged or something? has this ever happened to anyone? any help is much appreciated. the car is a 1969 2800cs w/ webers

no tach or temp gage

The tach takes signal from the distributor, so you'd have disconnected it to remove the head.

The temp gage sender is on the water neck/thermostat housing at the front of the head, you'd have disconnected that to remove the head.

If both appear to be properly connected, I'd suggest to trace the wires from the sender(s) back toward the gages.
