Finally got around to replacing the heater blower motor. Everything went together well, but when I select the last detent, the motor turns off.

Any thoughts? My old GTI did that and I never solved it.

It could be the switch, the contact slides across a coil and contact gets hard to maintain as it ages. Can you push down on the lever at far right to see if it makes contact?

I'll give that a try Saturday when I take it to Canepa Cars and Coffee and see if I can get full speed to wake up.

Hmmm. No dice on full. Second to last detent blows harder after pressing down and sliding the knob through the detents a few times.

Looks like I'll rebuild the switch the next time I have the console apart.

The lever has a brass contact strip that touches the coil as it is moved L and R. I tried bending the contact strip but it can't be done fully assembled. It doesn't look easy to take apart and perhaps can't be done?
