New in the box Billstein HD struts SOLD

I know the springs from an E12 fit the E3's but not sure if the struts are the same. If so, I have a box new, never mounted, pair of billstein front HD struts which are getting harder and harder to find. $210 and shipping. Box size will be 28 X 7 X 4' 12 pounds weight

I believe struts are the same except maybe for the brake line mounting bracket, strut insert would be interchangeable. And e12 springs fit in the e9, at least early e12.

Chris, I don't mean to be argomentitive. But, Peter S, Coupe King, says the E12 springs will not fit the E9. I was selling lowering springs that fit E3 through 82 E24 and according to the manufacturers interchange list they would fit E3,E12 and early E24, but not E9

No issues. I have B&G e12 progressive lowering springs in the front on my e9, rears are definitely different. I also have a right front strut from some previous repair that I believe is from an e12, the ball joint mounting bolts have a 14mm head and should be 17mm. And, the mount for the brake hoses is on trailing side of strut and not on the leading edge where it should be.

To pick up an old thread...My early E24 is E12 based. The ball joint mounting bolt heads on mine are 17mm and are a funny bolt head with a "tower" on it drilled for safety wire. These are stock as I ordered all new ones from the dealer and they were a dead match to the nasty ones I replaced. Brake hose mount on mine is leading edge. I have 2 sets of struts and they are identical
