Will ANYONE be able to fix it or will it be big bucks as pieces wear out?

The piece in the Roundel impressed me with the efforts to take weight out of the car. If you get one without a sunroof, and with a manual six speed it matches the weight (3300) of the 1 series M. That is a good trend.

Supposedly, the new Cadillac CTS is also the lightest car in its class, and outhandles all of the others, per the car mags.

No worries, there won't be anything to fix. All the plastics are meant to disintegrate (eco-friendly). Buy / lease one, enjoy it for a few years and pass it on.
