Great to be on this forum!. Wanted to introduce my finally completed E9. I bought her about 2 years ago and had a bare metal respray and rust repairs done. I am still working out a few "kinks", but this forum is an invaluable resource for me. I went a little custom with my E9, respraying it in BMW Marrakesh Brown Metallic (originally a fjord). When we stripped the paint off, there were 8 layers of different colors and resparys over the years... Wow! I also made a CSL look-a-like with the airdam and spot lights. I still have to fix the AC compressor bushings (yes, I found the info on this forum as well, thank you!), do some interior work, and some miscellanious servicing. But I love this car. As far as I know it is the only one on the Big Island of Hawaii (correct me if I'm wrong...)

thanks for the nice comments. Yes I did put it into the registry. VIN is 2240504. I work for a BMW dealership, and fell in love with marrakesh brown the minute it came available. I think it is a great vinatge color.
 
Howzit!

There was a 2000CS in Hilo, saw it a couple times, a couple years ago. I have no idea who owns it. There also seem to be an unusual number of older M-cars on Hawaii as well.
