Greetings All,
My name is Mario and I’m lucky enough to have acquired a beautiful ‘73cs this week. I have always admired the e9 ever since childhood when my uncle purchased a brand new e9 and an e10 on the same day at the local BMW dealership here in New Orleans. I have so many memories of riding in both of those cars throughout my childhood.

The e9 I purchased was familiar to me as it was owned by a friend of mine here in New Orleans and stored at a local car club warehouse that I co-own with a few other local car guys. I just couldn’t let this beautiful example leave our garage, much less the city. It will join my ‘72tii as the other vintage BMW in my collection.

Not only am I lucky enough to have acquired this car, I‘m also incredibly lucky to call Steve Armstrong (Stevehose) a personal friend. He was instrumental in helping me put the deal together, and especially instrumental in teaching me about the e9 and sorting out my ‘72tii. As all of you know well, he’s an incredible wealth of knowledge and a wizard when it comes to, not only these cars, but all euro classics as our car club members have found out. An even more impressive fact about Steve is that he’s the nicest and most humble dude on earth.

I’m looking forward to being the newest custodian of this beautiful car for many years to come and to learning and participating on this forum.

Regards,
Mario

EDIT: Sorry for the image quality of the pics, I will swap them out or add higher resolution pics soon.

hey Mario - welcome to the insanity. having a great shepherd like Steve is a wonderful thing .. he is a great guy, has excellent coupe knowledge. the verona is pretty car.

Welcome aboard Mario - you have good taste in cars, and in people too!

I'm so glad the coupe got to stay in NOLA. that's a pretty group of local coupes - polaris, ceylon + verona. i need to get back to town, its been a bunch of years since i've been there. if covid hadn't happened we would have had our 40 year Tulane school of architecture reunion.

Welcome, welcome! I’m new here as well. It seams you’ve stepped into coupe world at the top of the heap with amazing guidance and a beautiful car. I have no doubt that you will love the e9 more by the year as most all of us do. Congrats and many many happy motoring miles
