Greetings All,
My name is Mario and I’m lucky enough to have acquired a beautiful ‘73cs this week. I have always admired the e9 ever since childhood when my uncle purchased a brand new e9 and an e10 on the same day at the local BMW dealership here in New Orleans. I have so many memories of riding in both of those cars throughout my childhood.
The e9 I purchased was familiar to me as it was owned by a friend of mine here in New Orleans and stored at a local car club warehouse that I co-own with a few other local car guys. I just couldn’t let this beautiful example leave our garage, much less the city. It will join my ‘72tii as the other vintage BMW in my collection.
Not only am I lucky enough to have acquired this car, I‘m also incredibly lucky to call Steve Armstrong (Stevehose) a personal friend. He was instrumental in helping me put the deal together, and especially instrumental in teaching me about the e9 and sorting out my ‘72tii. As all of you know well, he’s an incredible wealth of knowledge and a wizard when it comes to, not only these cars, but all euro classics as our car club members have found out. An even more impressive fact about Steve is that he’s the nicest and most humble dude on earth.
I’m looking forward to being the newest custodian of this beautiful car for many years to come and to learning and participating on this forum.
Regards,
Mario
