Hi all,

I just purchased the only E9 in Sri Lanka and it is one of the 500 UK RHD 3.0CSL cars. (CSiL ?) The car is fuel injected.

My friend, who I bought it from is a member of this forum too.

Imported to Sri Lanka in 1987.

My friend had registered it on "E9driven" but there are only 2 photos of it before restoration when it was in it's original color Ceylon Gold.

I don't know how to update the data

Talking about exclusivity, the only E9 in the country!!!!!!!!

Looks like a very nice specimen and I would love to see some more pictures.

I wish you best of luck and tons of fun with your new car.

Thank you sir !

ceejay,

I can archive the prior Registey entry, send an e-mail to the Registry with the VIN.

Chris

I did Chris. You replied saying "Sorry, we don't know. This Registry is populated by owners, primarily. Please enter info about your coupe."

But I can't enter info because it is already registered under my friend's (previous owner) name

I can't Archive that record without the VIN, I searched on your country and found no entries, hence, my suggestion to enter it yourself. If it's in there I wouldn't know that, sorry.

No worries Chris.

I did mention the VIN in my e-mail through the register which you responded to.
It is 2285442

When I go to www.e9-driven.com and type either the name of my country (Sri Lanka) or the VIN number in the search box and click "go", the entry of this car comes up.

I can't register it my self. When I try to do so, it says I should send an e-mail to the registrar which is what I did with all the details.
Would appreciate it if you could look into it. Thanks !

Ceylon gold? Jeez how ironic! The guy who imported it must have either sought one in that colour just because, or that's one hell of a coincidence.
