Hello to all,
I joined here because surprisingly, there are not many Forums in France concerning our beloved E9.
I recently bought a 1975 3.0 CSi from Belgium. Got it delivered home a few days ago, and I am still waiting for a good friend of mine who knows a good deal about old cars, to help me out with what seems to be a clutch problem. I can't shift in any speed, and the clutch pedal goes down half way. So we are going to start by changing the fluids, see what happens.
Except for that, the car seems to be in excellent shape. The engine starts and runs like a symphony, and I even drove it for a couple of miles when I first went to see it. I have the restauration photos, everything was dismounted, fixed up and mounted again.

So far I have no questions, and I hope I won't have any. As soon as I can drive it, I will comment anything useful to the group.

Fun fact: my first collector is a French car (well know in Europe), a Peugeot 504 coupe V6. I don't know if she felt something when I was about to buy the BMW, but she started to show her unhappiness : Electric problems, speedometer broke, and a few others. But everything fixed now. they share the same bedroom (my basement), and seem to get along pretty well now... (all men's dream...)

hello Beaudave + welcome to e9coupe. congrats on your purchase and hope you get the clutch sorted. looks like your coupe is either nachtblau or arktisblau ... both pretty colors. please be sure to check out the FAQ section for a lot of helpful information about our coupes, including Top Sources - while many of them are in the US, there are a number in Germany and the UK.

we have another project going on - the Coupe Ancestry project. would like to know your coupe's VIN - 7 digit, located on the top back of the firewall or on the interior steering column (434xxxx). if you happen to know anything about former owners, that would be great to know as well.

cheers!
scott
