Good Morning / Afternoon to you all !
After over 12 months of pouring over this site as a visitor ....and making use of all the 'brains' here on ! It is finally time that I became a member.... Ta Da ! ... so here I am !
Bought my '74 CSA almost exactly 12 months ago.... I have so admired these for a very long time ... but .... as these are so rare here I didn't think I would have a chance in finding one ... let alone a 'decent' one .. and in Perth too..
Was actually looking for an old Jag, ...and then the Ad appeared ....the Ad wasn't quite as accurate as it said ... some photo's attached .. but I had to have it !
The color, you see, was also an almost exact match to the BMW R1100RS Bike that I also own ! So I coudn't exactly say I didn't like it ! ... and it really was in pretty good fettle for an old girl.
Since then have been slowly but steadily giving it the 'once' over. Some rust work was required and has been completed. Am now replacing all those things that after 35 years have just about had it ! Mainly Seals and Rubbers. .... and then (eventually) some "sympathetic" mechanical upgrades.
Anyway the other reason for this thread, other than to introduce myself, is that I am now chasing Parts that seem to be unavailable and where else would I go ?
I am after the Rear (side) window metal strips that seem to have Felt strips attached and are rivetted to the chrome trim (and hold the rubber seal in place) at the base of these windows.... mine disintegrated into 4+ pcs when I removed the trim.... Can anyone help ?
I look forward to any responses and thanks to all ... this is such a great site.
