New to forum, introducing myself

I live in Kirkland WA

Bought a 3.0CS about 20 years ago, drove it a tiny bit and then it has sat in the garage along with my other projects
Now getting back to it
When I bought it, it had just been ‘restored’ but some funny stuff and not finished
It was repainted white, I think I will have it repainted back to the original silver

I am a long time BMW fan, my dad bought a 1970 2002 around 1971
I ‘borrowed’ that and drove it for about 20 years
Repainted 3 times, a couple engine rebuilds

Around 1981 I bought an 1800 (4 door) the interior was remarkable, it looked almost new
The person I bought it from didn’t run the defroster because he didn’t want heat on the dash, he carried a chalk board eraser

For a regular car I have a 2000 528

Thanks for coming out of the woodwork! There are quite a few coupe owners in the Seattle area. I'll be heading to the Redmond car gathering on a Saturday morning to see ccmguy8's silver coupe. I just need to see if his coupe is ready again. Perhaps we can meet up!

There is a big German car gathering set for set for July 26 in Renton at Cedar River Park.

This would be a great opportunity to meet some fellow coupe owners and see their cars. I'll have my nachtblau 3.0CS there and I'm sure there will be many others. Be sure to introduce yourself. I'm still finishing some of the little details on the coupe while working of a '65 1800 and a newly acquired '73 Tii. I'll send you a PM regarding your headliner question.

There is a recent uptick in coupe ownership and enthusiasm in the area with a growing informal "coupe group". I look forward to adding your car to the list.

Welcome. There are a couple of us in the Clyde Hill / Medina area.

There is also a BMW only show on Saturday the 25th that I am planning being at with the coupe. This year they are having events on both days.

There are some of us up north too... I'm near Warm Beach. Some great roads and such for discovering.

Reminds me that we need to get the 'Seattle Gang' together again....
It was great back a few months when we were at Ken's. Would be good to do that again from (maybe) my place - if that works out.

I have lived in Kirkland for 29 years
My kids were Kangs, I don't know if you ever saw the scary Kangaroo painted on the gym wall?
