New Nardi wooden 360mm steering wheel

Button

I recently bought a hub for one of my steering wheels from this guy on da'bay. Came with a button very similar to what Dan offers, yet maybe not as nice (lacks the extra chrome rim) Seems the guy has a stash of NIB hubs, etc. Good price and shipping, all went well. Lives in Fairfield, CA.

I agree....360 mm too small. 390 mm best for the wood wheel. I like 380 mm for leather.

I have a 360mm Nardi and it feels just fine, looks great too. Not too small and not like driving a bus. I would like to try a 380-400mm Nardi sometime just to see / feel the difference, but I am not disappointed with my 360mm at all.

I think 360mm is to small as well. I tried a Grant that size and it feels to small after having a Nardi. I'm thinking about buying a Grant 1760 380mm to try out till I find that Petri at the right price?

i have a 360 nardi and a 400 petri. i much prefer the 400 petri size wise. i think the 360 is a little too small.

Wheels

One of those things that is all about personal preferance. Road wheels, shift knob, etc.
IMO the Nardi is all show and no go. A slippery bit when driving aggressive. I use a leather three spoke on my coupe....380 mm. Also have an Alpina four spoke in the stash, 380 mm, I do not like it as well as my three spoke as it does not have finger notches. The E39 has a M/Sport wheel. Measures at 380 mm. Knobs at the 10 and 2 o'clock position and fat. If ever there was a BMW engineered to the max....2002 E39 540I 6 speed with the M/sport package. Gotta think 380 mm is what the ergo experts dictate. Check out the different wheels drivers use if the Daytona gets under way this evening....

a little more

BTW, I had a 360 on my 73 CS 25 years ago, and my recollection is that it was one of the more enjoyable experiences of driving the car
