Getrag 265 will fit. I hope you have the mechanical speedometer drive at the lower left rear, if I recall correctly, some did not.
But it will bolt up to your engine block.
Wonder why you bought a "new" gearbox for that much money when there are good used ones usually available for much less. But then I'm extremely frugal. Is it actually factory new, or reconditioned?

Oh yes garage but you need one when you live in the cold north (Copenhagen)
About my gear box I was told that it should be a 265 but it says something completely different for 262.0.510.00 225 3.1 what does it mean!

As far as the transmission goes...
The getrag 265 shares parts of it's casing with the 262 transmission and thus has the same 262 casting numbers on it, hence the possible confusion.
As long as you are confident on the transmission otherwise - should be good to go.
As was mentioned earlier - there is the need for the mechanical speedo drive at the rear of the unit .... and other things for a 4 to 5 speed conversion.

ok many thanks for your support .it is quite clear with the mummer.
But the man whom I bought a gearbox, said that there is a mechanical speedo on the gearbox. If I understand it right then it is the hule as pages on the left side obliquely wheat end where Axel is put to.
I'm not so keen for it now:?
