Not an E9, but my daily driver E90 (E9 x 10). I have Dinan springs and that setup came with Koni shocks. This was installed about 6 years ago and I drive the car year 'round (in Wisconsin). None the less, I am very surprised at how much corrosion manifested at the top of both shocks. One "blew out" about a week ago, and the other one looks to be about 6 minutes away from the same fate.
I replaced them with my tried and true Bilsteins.
Ended the test drive with a little photo shoot opportunity. Even a daily driver deserves love and attention.
