Just thought I would drop in to say hello. I have just taken my disease to a new level and purchased a 1971 2800CSA. A driver with minimal(HAH!) rust but will need most everything eventually. Can anyone advise on where to find a copy of the owners manual if they exist? Yes its trivial but I have to start somewhere!! Glad you guys are here...I am sure it will be a wild ride.

Welcome and good luck!

You can sometimes find manuals on Ebay; typically they go for $100+ a set; I picked up mine for just under $100. I also purchased a DVD version (identical to factory version) from the EuroDepot but it took them 3+ months to deliver (they had to get it from Germany). I suspect that Carl and La Jolla Independent might have the DVDs.

I also noticed that someone just listed a set under the parts forum on this board.

Welcome Bruce. Its nice to see that your "disease" is not limited to just BMW. I have an '81 911SC...

Owner's manual/handbook vs. Factory manual?

The factory manual has been covered by the other posts. I do not wish to mislead you, but if I read your post correctly, you can find an electronic copy of what you are seeking "owners manual/handbook" here: http://www.cscoupe.org/tech/tech.html

Please forward your payment to:
