I hope you will allow disgruntled CS Registry member to come be a part of your neighborhood and not hold it against me. I have owned CSL's for 31 continuous years, both road versions and factory racing versions. Even though I have recently retired from CSL ownership, I still have 31 years worth of CSL & BMW Motorsports memorabilia that I will offer in the future, if you are interested.

Thanks,

Hello Richard,
Your more than welcome.
You'll find the mad, sad, and probably slightly insane here, with folk trying to rebuild buckets (me) to those with super examples

Cheers
Malc

Welcome

Hi Richard,

I remember your name ( and occasional emails ) from several months ago, when I jumped ship from the CSR mailing list.

Regards

Richard,

Welcome ...... this is the only guy I know who comes close to my lunacy with respect to "lightweight" coupes .... He is also responsible for the negative balance in my 401K at the moment !!!!!

Glad to have your knowledge as well as Passion .......

Be Safe, Jimmy

Welcome e-9 "oldtimer"

Have known your name & of your CSL reputation & activities for years. As you--am also longer of tooth than many of those now contributing to this board--and also a long time continuous owner/caretaker of e-9's--since Feb 1972--soon to be 35 years.

My first a 2800 CS #2270016 is still with me--purchased from original owner at just over 2 years and 38,000 miles--the now venerable
"BLUMAX" is probably the highest mileage surviving e-9 having eaten over 405,000 of asphalt, concrete and some dirt beneath his wheels. Combined with mileage driven in other e-9's that have owned or which have passed through my hands--e-9 seat time would now exceed 500,000--and still having fun behind the wheel.

BLUMAX is still in outstanding condition in all respects--although mechanically is now far removed from an original 2800CS--much of the upgrades were done by Carl Nelson and his team here on the "left coast".

Even here in "jaded SoCal car land" there are still many who admire and recognize these cars for their timeless design.

Welcome to another senior caretaker of the breed!

Welcome

Welcome from another Western NC guy. This group is the best; from folks with lots of experience that are willing to share, to guys like me who need lots of help. Dave Vanderbloemen in Morganton.

Richard Conway this way comes

and all I can think is

geez what took you so long?

I think may of the active members here are ex-Art's list, and some few still participate in both.
