Can anyone tell me what these knobs are for of if factory? eurospec 72 3.0csi

They look to me like bumpers to hold the shift console at a set height.

Perhaps the metal brackets under the console, or the wood blocks that the brackets screw into, are missing.

i cannot get them to operate anything. they may not even be hooked up. I think it may be for rear glass defoger
