..as mentioned before I went with 245x45x16 rear and 215x50x16 for the bbs 8" & 7". Great grip and looks great...better than the conventional wisdom tire size rec by most.
Here is an alternative and great rear grip.

...and one more little picture. I decided to take my trip to Oregon in this rather than the CSI. The radiator on the CSI sprung a leak the day before...already fixed.
Thats my wife of 30 years...not to be confused with a 30 year old wife.

Awsome

I love when someone does something outside from what is normally "approved". It looks beautyfull. What is the offset on the wheels? Did you roll the front and rears fenders, or just the fronts? What springs are on it?

Front offset is 11 like Alpina tire Falken ZE
Rear offset is 20 (Alpina is 24) tire Fuzion ZRi
You have a limited selection of tires and unless you go very expensive you have to mix brands.
Luckily these two tires look very similar and can't tell much of a difference.
Spring and shocks from Carl at La Jolla. I think the springs were $400. The fenders were already rolled
before the car was restored.
