hello fellow bmw fans,
im a contractor from Lebanon.bmw in my veins since the age of 9. ive always had a bimmer in the garage at any given time. current garage status: bmw 850i 1991, merc 500 G class 2004, ford f-150 truck 2007.
to be honest im selling the 850i in a few days and plan on getting a cs. i also ordered the cs badge from Steve, that way i wont change my mind re buying the cs :lol:.... just joking im fixed on it :evil:
ps: i love what mike burroughs did with his car i see myself doing the exact same thing.

ceylon color.

thanks Steve,
i found a 72 3.0cs very well looked after. the owner is asking for 12k. its within my budget but the thing is the color doesn't suit my taste(ceylon) i think its called. so i was wondering if changing the color is easily done or u think some thing would break upon removal? any thoughts would be appreciated. thanks.

Ceylon is an unusual color. You should keep it.

I agree with M thompson. An odd but original color. Changing colors is expensive when done right and it is still a color change. Lacks a certain originality - if that's what you are looking for.

Agree with the advice to keep it ceylon. There can't be many of these left in that color.

spot on. but im not going to bulge up the fenders or anything, just a color change and some 18inch rims and a new radio unit(up to date, Bluetooth, cd.. )
i will try to take a few photos to show u guys the car in question.
im just worried that i might break a few parts while getting it ready for the paint job and not finding replacements for them?

i agree with you kms, that is an ugly color - hideous in fact. if you buy the car, change it. its expensive to do properly, but worth it to get what suits you.

. first i will give it one more month of searching for another candidate, and if nothing else comes up i will jump at it. and i apologize if any one here has this color, but i cant stand it no matter which angle i look at it. :-?

consider this

The paint on your coupe is old and faded.
I have seen a fresh ceylon and it is awesome.
I don't know if it will respond to buffing with rubbing compound. If you can search the postings on this site you will find a ceylon garage-find and the color is beautiful.
