Here´s a link to a german forum that documents a "fast forward" rebuild of a 76 2.8L Auto.

Done partially by a division of BMW themselves (body, paint, completion), partially by a very enthousiastic owner, using a NOS spare body, a very impressive rebuild. The car is almost finshed while, as I read it, they only started last december by taking the donor apart.

Nice work on those E9's. I've rebuilt one end to end, but would never start with a rusty one again. Been down that road. Currently restoring a very rusty plane, but there are some cheap E9 blanks waiting refurbishment in the USA. Might not be that much work to convert to RHD.

Bavaristi

Nice to find a fellow Bav nut. I am just completeting a 3 year resto modding of my 72 Bav which I have owned for 25 years. Every nut and bolt
