I just looked at my latest MotorTrend's Classic magazine (it's put out quarterly). In the 'Classic Style' there's a 8 page spread showing the latest winter fashions and gear with a beautiful white CS as the backdrop. It looks more pure white than Chamonix and has a red interior. My first thought was it must be Stan's but I think he's Alpina's are 14X7s. Does it belong to someone here?

Also, there's a great article about the 1969 BMW Bertone Spicup concept. This car's interior is so ugly, it's cool.

Thanks, Vince. The CS is mine. Got a blast e-mail from Delight Lucas of the LA Chapter of BMWCCA forwarding a request from MT Classic asking if anyone had a coupe they wanted to "lend" for a photo shoot. As the shoot was not far away from me and I had a free day, I volunteered.

Pretty interesting to watch them put the car's tires up on rolling clamps to move it into position in the large white studio. Took all day to complete the shoot. Nice fog machine effects, too.

They wanted you to "lend" them are car? We supply cars for shoots and we always PAY!

My business is supplying cars for Film Shoots/Movies/TV in Hollywood (Hollywood Picture Cars) and we always pay the owner of any car $350-$500 to bring it to our location.

If you did it for free they pulled a move on you because every Photographer knows that they ALWAYS pay for Picture Cars...

My 3.0CSi was just booked for a TV Commercial... They are wrapping it in Yellow film to match a Lambo Muira...

I think that cool making Motor Trend!I would have done it for FREE as well to have in there.
For 350-500 you not missing much and your car in print! Did you get any hi res images and if so pm me your email and I'll make you a poster with our Iris printer as long as it's OK to make one for my garage wall as well! (PS White&Red is my favorite) Tim

It's fun to have one of your cars in print- I had my CSL in Motor Trend several years ago and really enjoyed the process. Met some very interesting fellows including the editor and got high res files directly from the photographer. No money though, so if that means being taken advantage of, so it goes.

Their first offer was lunch, but I held out for some $$, so yes, they did pay me.

can you scan a picture to post?
I'll see what I can do when I have access to a decent scanner over the weekend.
