Hello all,
“Er steuert einen BMW 3.0 CSL aus den 1970er-Jahren, mit dem er seinerzeit das 6h-Rennen am Nürburgring bestritten hat”

At Austrian GrandPrix’s Legend Parade, Niki Lauda drove the 3.0 CSL from the 70’s in which he competed at the 6hr Nürburgring race.

Hi Yannick,
But the real Niki is sitting in there :)
I have to ask whether NL would drive a replica, let alone at a Legends Parade. Look at the curve/ dent of the side panel (wonder how well the door closes), I’d have hoped that if it’s a replica they would have done a better job.
But I’m positive that you know everything there is to know of such a special Alpina CSL, where the original car resides today and it’s complete history, far more than you reveal o_O
Not only do you know Csls better than most, Alpina is your speciality.

I'm wagering it's a replica too, flares on original car look deeper/wider....

Plus the original has green on it, so that makes its faster...
;)

hello
i think also
that it not the original car is
it is a 2 inch widebody set
greet

Alpina seems to think it is the real car.
EDIT: oops. I says right there on their post… “a replica”. Did I really miss that altogether or did they edit it afterwards? Seems like I would have noticed it
SECOND EDIT: ok, if you read the original Alpina post (photo below) it just says “the Alpina BMW”. So indeed they edited their copy to add “replica” afterwards. Phew. I was getting worried there…

it's hard to believe Alpina would have restored that car , at a time those body shells were available at the factory….no ? what would have been the point ?
Yes , could be a new racecar build from that time , not a recent replica.
