If anyone is still running/needs R12 refrigerant. I have 2 dusty cans that you can have for the cost of shipping. Never mind shipping is a hassle. I think I’ll just take them to recycling center.

Actually I was trying to make a joke, but who knows. I bet you can ship them to Wyoming though! I hear they'll also welcome any aerosols manufactured before 1996 that still contain CFC propellants. I've got a case of deodorant and hair spray to send them. They're also happy to take any DDT insecticides you might have - the state park system loves them! Oh yes, also they'll happily buy any old transformers that contain PCBs. And finally, the legislature just passed an act declaring asbestos the official toast topping of Wyoming. Take that you avocado toast eating millennials!

I will put Roundup and its ilk on the mailing list to the steps of the state legislature. When they are in session the Caddys, Lincolns, and Chrysler products fill the oversize parking spaces.

if Fedex or UPS will ship them, I would be glad to have them. I was able to ship fire extinguishers with one of them several+ years ago

Sooner or later the gas is coming out of that can, whether it is in a BMW or a landfill.
I would hope that if I took it to a “hazardous waste” recycling center, that accepts old paint in aerosol cans, it would be disposed of properly.
But you know the old saying about only two things in life that are guaranteed. ;)

Probably any HVAC place would take it. In Ma, an R12 license is good for the life of the technician

Its actually not that easy to find people who can handle R12. Were I looking to dispose of this stuff, I would try the local junk yards. Often they are required to have technicains who can properly handle R12.

I'll pay the cost of shipping. Put them in a cardboard box with a small amount of bubble wrap and FedEx will ship it. A lot of my friends in the Porsche 928 community keep their systems filled with R-12. It is a better refrigerant in those cars than the R134a.
