NMNA - blue factory manuals

Yikes!!! That is too expensive. I just bought the same books - about the same condition - on eBay from a guy in Hawaii for $50 + $23 shipping. They are wonderful!!!

And then my wife bought me a repro set for xmas, which is a nice, bound paperback copy of the exact same info. The only difference is the original pages are glossy and the pictures are much easier to read - the repro images have some dithering/half-toning that makes them less clear. And there are a couple of diagrams in the original that are fold-out pages, whereas in the repro book the diagrams have been reduced in size to fit on the page. The repro set was $99 plus shipping.

Maybe I got really lucky, but I absolutely LOVE my blue books. There is a fold out diagram in there that shows all of the chassis dimensions - hole to hole - front to back, side to side. This will help get our cars right back to the factory specification!!!

You got very lucky, going price is $200 for an original two volume set. Very little on body/interior for e9, many pics are e3, but it basically shows everything you need. The earlier one volume set doesn’t have the later trannies and injection system.

Does it cover body and interior how-to's?

I have a set that you can borrow for a month or two if you want. You seem to be muscling through a lot of interior and electrical stuff. I definitely want them back!!! :D

Shoot. When I snatched up the $50 2-volume set, there was another set for $135 I think. I should have picked that up, too, so I could make sure another forum member could benefit. Or maybe someone here did get them. :)

Anyway, I couldn't be happier with the content - maybe not "essential" but pretty darn nice to have.

Chris is right, i will extend that and say extremely lucky. i bought a set 6 years ago for around $100 and was happy.

I appreciate the book deal more than I am letting on. I don't get lucky that often. Just take a look at my car - ha ha.
