I'm far from being a fan of such taste but might be interesting for some, so I have uploaded pictures for the record. :)

Yes. It is but could be an example for some that is it possible. Nice holders can be milled or 3D printed nicely.

Surely for restomod rather than for period-correct E9, especially taking into account huge problem to but original Hella H1 inserts (Low Beam, LHD EU Version)

I'm about making modern look on E9 restomod by using projector-like as used in facelift E24, E34 and E30. They have different mounting but I believe it should be possible to mount them by removing the metal buckets and using different adjustement screws.

Again, this (the set for sale on eBay) is rather tinkering, not any way of professional/nice engineering.

I have these in my car……
Early 1990‘s, a Mr. Dreschel whom I believe created the first CS convertible in Germany with a 745i turbo engine/ gearbox etc…..had designed brackets to install these headlights into his convertible. He offered them to the local coupe club…I bought a set of lights with the brackets from him way back then…. way better lights than the originals in the 90‘s.

Great look of front (and nice color stripes!)

Any details how they have been realized (3D pint, milling, stamping)? :) Just to have the overview for some interested. :)

I would like to follow original look but having more than one E9, a restomod would be beautiful pair to OE-correct model.

They are professionally designed and made brackets…. I believe the lights he took were from the E30 (not individual lamps, combined pairs) and added brackets to make them fit to the E9 grills and bolt pattern. It’s been decades since, I’d have to take them out to make pics…..which I’d do if there was real interest in folks wanting to install such lights. I was not a stickler for originality (very evident in my build), a factor that was not important for me in the past!

Thanks for info. I'm far from asking to dismount grille etc.

I thought you might have some pictures from the past.

Interesting rework and nice car!
