Is the volume of the silicone/glue used for a repair (especially the one leaking out of the mechanisms) proportional to the quality - and thus value - of the repair?

I can only imagine the same volume (or more) can be expected inside.
 
@HB Chris It is all not about the sealant but it's volume. :)

I have seen many times particles of the sealants running around inside mechanisms. Lately I have found a big chunk in the throttle heating pipe (clogging it almost completely). This is a common issue with usage of chemical sealants.

Good mechanic would use just a little - almost invisible from outside. It is well enough.

This One was just using too much of it. More doesn't mean better.

Another option was tranny has been opened without proper tools and knowledge.
By pushing levers between halves the surface has been damaged and thus more sealant needed to clog the holes and keep it from leaking.

In my humble opinion it is not a picture of well reconditioned part.
