No brakes with engine ON.

Hi list,

So I blead my brakes and finally got good pedal feel. Strange thing is when I turn on the engine, the pedal drops? I checked the valve to the servo and its OK black side towards the engine. Servo has no leaks but when engine is on I loose pedal stiffness...any ideas?

You don't lose pedal stiffness, you gain servo/booster assistance. In other words the booster is doing its job i.e. its making the brakes easier to press. If you have excessive travel in your pedal then I guess you have a further problem. Having said that don't be too quick to write them off years ago I spent hours trying to rectify what I thought was a spongy pedal, it wasn't till I road tested the car that I realised that the brakes were fine.
