I've got low beam-outside headlights but nothing when I move lighting stock lever either up or out. No high beams. Suggestions? From experience? 72 3.0CS

check the power thru the relays then ohm meter to the switch

As aearch suggested, the high beams go through a relay, while the low beams are driven directly off the switch (and no, that doesn't make a great deal of sense). So a defective relay could be one possible cause of your problem. The high beam relay (and horn relay) are those cylindrical things just behind the battery.
Of course, the dimmer switch could be the problem as well.

Have been near the battery lately? Sometimes the wires disconnect from the relay.

Fixed, many thanks. It was just the relay. I removed it, and put it back in and got my high beams back. So I took relay out again and cleaned contacts-they looked clean, but looks can deceive. Btw, the relay handles high beam plus horn.
I'll be at Legends Friday and Festorics/Leguna Saturday wearing either a BMW Festoris 2009 or BIg Sur International Marathon hat. First beer is on me/Spaten Thanks

You should have separate relays for horn and high beams....

Either that, or your high beams will be very loud (or your horn very bright).

Nice one. You're right, as I went back and checked. My mistake-don't want to confuse everyone as much as myself.
