I think the no reserve on BaT is smart thing to do right now with a coupe in Germany. Looks nice from the surface, no real "down and dirty" pics but I'm sure peanut gallery will ask for them.

My favorite coupe color personally, but doesn't have the tan interior (my favorite combo) and import will be a B-atch....fun to watch though. At least it won't be a RNM!

"The seller states that shipping to the ports of Miami, New York, and Los Angeles is included in the sale." Well that's a plus I guess, but registering in CA is a whole other issue....maybe this stays in the motherland...who knows?

The last car the seller had did pretty well and it had its share of issues too IIRC.

With how incomplete the photo gallery is, surprised the auction specialist didn't require more photos.

Replacement chassis number plate
Looks like all of the floor pans have been replaced
Looks like the coolant bottle is cracked at the base of the neck.

It went for $130K. Very nice car but for that price, I could do without the speakers in the door panels and carpet that looks a bit tired.

A clean looking csi in Germany just sold for $130k. (even with the kiss of death alec cartio endorsement...)

Interesting barometer for what the values are in the Fatherland

I guess market is still strong?

Nice E9, but $130k nice? I mean, that driver's side floor pan, wrong year seats, speakers in door panels, and rubberrized undercoating underneath.

Plus you have to do the import from Germany as well! What a PITA that is!

I was surprised so many things people took a blind eye to. I might be out of line wanting real Alpinas as well. Perhaps the driving video made up for it.

No bids in last 42 minutes which is a bit strange. It sold as shipping was included and Fjord is a very attractive and popular color, not a bad price either. I met Alec after his last CSi did not meet reserve and was bought by a new member here for less than this one. He is an e31 guy and has owned a bunch of them, he is still learning about e9s.

I am also not so sure, if the buyer was really really serious of buying or just gambling, by reading his last comment
"Thank you Beamer4, it would have been yours if you had hit me one more time!"

I'm going to put part of that sale price down to the driving video. I think screaming down the Autobahn is a pretty good selling point. On the other hand, the lack of drone footage in the walk around videos probably lost it $750.
