Has anyone successfully adapted non-a/c console sides to a car they were installing the factory evaporator and faceplate and so on, into? Are they much different? Thanks. Mike

Thanks for the reminder DQ. I seem to recall having read that thread, excellent and comprehensive as usual. Forgot about that. Yes, it sucks so many excellent photos have disappeared, but thanks for the confirmation that non-a/c sides are different. I now have a line on some real a/c console sides, though they may need the vent covers.
The non AC sides more vertical where as the AC sides have somewhat of a 45 degree slope to them. I much prefer the look of the AC console. I'm going to run an AC console in my car with no AC.
I have a few spare prototype AC faces that I can sell for a good price if you want something to play with. I don't have any spare 3D printed console sides, but you can't print two new ones for around ~ $140. Wish it was cheaper...
