When it's done ya' knob! Why don't you just build it yourself PJ? It's not like these things are Quad-cam Ferraris, or Desmodromic valved Ducatis. They're German, rational, made to work on, and relatively simple.

a, I am a knob
b, I would like some degree of reliability, not want to be anxious every time I drove it
c,really don't have the time (2 kids,2 businesses,track weekends,internet porn etc)
d,I would have 1/2 the bits left over.
e all of the above
ps wanna help pull it out, reinstall? lots of beer available
Rebello Racing in Antioch would be a good choice. They know BMWs and have been a quality race engine builder for 25 years or so. Sure they could handle a m30 rebuild.
