we had a spirited 85 mile drive today with some BMW friends here in North Georgia, otherwise known as a bunch of BMW chasing a Porsche. Gary Beck organized the event and we met at a starting place and drove a planned route to a location for lunch. it was a beautiful day for a drive ... and we went down some of my favorite roads that i use for TSD rallies ... winding roads with elevation. we took a short break before lunch and that's where these pix were taken
we only had one e9, the ex Steve Bingham '73 Baikal was driven by Phil Parkey, M5bb (Gary Beck) drove his e28 M5 since his coupe is still recovering from cancer, George Whiteley didn't make the drive but met us for lunch. I led in my 911s (since my coupe is still under reconstruction) and unfortunately Don Bower didn't make it as one of his cars developed a miss on the way and he turned back. we had 2 - e30 m3, 2 - e24 m6, a gorgeous z8, an e39 and i think an e34 m5. for those that are e30 m3 owners, the beautiful henna m3 is the ex Fillipo car that is now owned by Tony Morales.
